SWISHER, Laura May - Age 86, of Flint Twp, formerly of Durand, passed away April 12, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Keith McKinnies will officiate. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday and 10AM until the time of service Tuesday. Laura was born May 1, 1937 in Flint, the daughter of Eli B. and Bessie (Chown) Martin. She married Arthur L. Swisher on May 4, 1957. Laura worked at Citizens Bank for many years, before retiring in 1993. Following retirement, she and Arthur spent the winter in Zolfo Springs, FL. She is survived by her husband, Arthur; children, Lueanne Ragan, Cheryl Woodring, Gary (Kim) Swisher and Dyan (Patrick) Ricker; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters; a brother; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Dorothy Martin; sons-in-law, Matthew Ragan and Scott Woodring.
