Laura Elizabeth Moreland

MORELAND, Laura Elizabeth  Age 89, of Linden, died Saturday, July 16, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10 AM         Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12-7 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Hospice. Laura was born December 24, 1915 in Heber Springs, AR, the daughter of John and Lissie (Martindille) Garrison. She was married to Arvil Z. Moreland on May 11, 1954; he preceded her in death on April 30, 1995. Mrs. Moreland had lived in Linden since 1955. Surviving are: daughters, Reda Mae (James) Pence of Linden, Wilda Fay Spencer of Argentine; five grandchildren, Alice Jane Nelson, James Edward Smith, Angela Smith, John David Smith, Joseph Smith; two great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Moreland was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
