Laura G. Lane - Age 61, of Burton, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Laura was born on January 7, 1963 in Flint, Michigan to the late Donald and Jenny Rousseau. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School and received her Bachelor of English from University of Michigan-Flint. She worked at EDS, Snider and lastly with XPO- Parts & Logistics supporting GM. Laura married Brian T. Lane on May 21, 2016. They shared many wonderful memories together. She enjoyed travel, having visited London, Thailand & Israel and many places throughout the U.S. In recent years, traveling through the UP was always a trip she looked forward to Laura had an extraordinary love of Queen, especially their front man Freddie Mercury; her and Brian's song is Queen's My One True Friend. Laura and the boys shared a deep love of the TV show F.R.I.E.N.D.S, which included a lot of time sharing and enjoying jokes, references, puns and even included Sam naming his youngest after one of the characters. Laura loved reading and enjoyed being barefoot with a good book in hand. She enjoyed reading many different genres, especially books about English history (Tudor dynasty) and Jewish history, both fiction and non-fiction. She introduced her sister, Heather to Outlander Series, which they both read multiple time and enjoyed discussing. Above all - she loved her time with her family, and looked forward to family game nights, enjoying drinks and snacks.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Brian Lane; her children, Jamie (Joana) Rousseau and Sam (Nikki) Adams, Jessica Adams and Adam (fiancée Lana Sierra) Burton; her two siblings, Heather (Rick) Waltrip and Adam Rousseau; six grandchildren, Aiden, Peyton, Chandler, Braiden, Jax and Hazel. Laura his further survived by many nieces, nephews and other dear relatives.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Donald (Jenny) Rousseau; her son, Dan Adams; her granddaughter, Raelee Rousseau and two of the siblings, Shawn & Corey Rousseau.
