Laura M. Edminson, age 75, of Burton, slipped out of her earthly body into the presence of the Lord in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center. Visitation will be held at 10am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11am on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Flint Baptist Temple, 1430 E. Bristol Road in Burton, Michigan. Laura was born on July 7. 1949 in Flint, Michigan. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Edminson; son Tim Lewis; 3 stepchildren, 17 grandchildren, brothers, Ken (Pat), Brian (Diane) and Wayne (Susan). She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl (Beatrice) Millard; daughter, Tabatha Murphy and a stepson, Mikey.
Laura loved her Savior Jesus and had placed her faith in Him as a young child. She had been a long-time member of the Flint Baptist Temple. Although, her health had deteriorated she served tirelessly in many capacities including the nursery, the Secret Sister Program and helped with many funeral dinners.
Purple was Laura's favorite color, and she loved anything to do with butterflies. Laura kept her hands busy crocheting and knitting. She gifted many of her one of kind creations to family and friends.
Laura loved to talk from the beginning. It's been told that during her high school years at Bendle, a teacher separated her from a friend whom she was always talking with. Undeterred, Laura and her friend were caught communicating with their rudimentary American Sign language skills.
Laura was employed for many years with C&S Motors / Tri-County International Trucks in Flint until she retired and then worked at Bavarian Inn. After retiring Laura and Paul enjoyed camping and Friday Date Nights.
She was a kidney transplant patient and had other medical issues as well. However, that did not keep her from enjoying car rides so she could take in all the sights of the changing seasons in Michigan.
Laura had many roles and was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and was counted as a friend by many people.
Laura loved her "Handsome Hubby", Paul, who was an ever-present help to Laura through all of her health issues and endeavored to be by her side whenever and wherever he could.
