Laura Ellen BURTON

BURTON, Laura Ellen - age 77, of Fenton, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012. Mrs. Burton was born September 16, 1934 in Coffee County, Alabama, the daughter of William and Margaret (Barley) Stone. She was a Brownie/Girl Scout Leader and a Cookie Chairman. She was an avid reader and antique collector. Her favorite hobby was living for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Burton is survived by her children, Mark (Caroline) Burton, Cindy Caten, Laura (Bill) Goodge; grandchildren, Sarah Jo (Nick) Kallas, Matthew Douglas Burton, Scott Matthew (Michelle) Caten, Julie Michele (Nathan) Poulos, Adam Ross (Debbie) Caten, Alexander William and Amanda Laurel Goodge; great-grandchildren, Addyson Margaret and Avery Ross Caten. She was preceded in death by her parents; older brothers and sisters; husband, Alexander "Mack" Burton; son-in-law, Dale Ross Caten. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, July 23, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton with Pastor Ryan Gunther officiating. Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home.
