Larry Lowell Wardwell

WARDWELL, Larry Lowell  Age 68, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Goodman Cox will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Tuesday, 10-3 & 5-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Larry was born March 10, 1936 in Owosso, the son of Carl and Retha (Forester) Wardwell. He was married to Janice Buchanan on September 24, 1987 in Swartz Creek. Mr. Wardwell retired from General Motors SPO in 1992 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and was an avid Detroit Lions fan. Surviving are: wife, Janice; children, Cindy Wardwell of Flint, Jeff Wardwell of California, Tracey Conover of Flint, Garnet Dey of Nebraska, Bobby Hill of Ohio, Bradley Hill of Swartz Creek; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Jean Neff, Ivan Wardwell, Ron Wardwell, Bill Wardwell  and Ann Bendes; many nieces and nephews; best friends, Mike West and Dennis St. James; many more dear friends.
