Larry Heyward Truett II passed away on the morning of March 22, 2022 at the age of 48. He was born on September 29, 1973 to Yolanda Shelby
Larry lived a fulfilling life around the people he loved most, his family. Larry, as some called “ Big Larry” was a kind hearted, generous man that touched everyone who had the pleasure to know him. Larry was a hard worker that was gifted in many different areas of work, there was nothing he couldn’t make or fix. He started a photography business with his wife, and he would build her props for the photo sessions. He loved to deer hunt with his children. Larry also loved watching his daughter at her softball games, building race cars and Harleys with his son, and riding the boat with his family. He loved spending time with his grandkids whether it was traveling the states to pageants, being his grandson he called "Lenman" number one supporter/mechanic at his ice races, or just simply hanging out at home. He was so incredibly special, his son Larry Michael called him "Pops" and his dad called him "Hot Rod"
Larry is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 26 years Teri Lynne Truett; two sons, Larry M.(Brandy) Truett and Brandon Truett; one daughter Larissa Truett; four grandchildren, Alivia, Paityn, Emery, and Lennox; mother in law: Sheri Cotter; sister, Jeannie Truett; grandmas, Gertrude Burgess and Myrtle Back, special uncles, Howard Burgess, Jim O’Neal, and Randy Back, special aunt, Marcia O’Neal; special cousins, Tony Truett , Ron Morrish, Joel Back, Anthony Back and Kristopher O’ Neal; special extended family, Pamela Morgan and David Monreal ; and his beloved animals Isis (Iceman) and Sassy . He is preceded in death by his mother, Yolanda Shelby; sister, Tinda Irish Truett (Tom); grandfather, Howard Burgess, and grandpa Shelby.
No Services will be held at this time, but a Memorial will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make donations directly to family.
Larry’s passing has left an unfillable void in his loved ones hearts but his family is grateful for the years they had with him and all the memories that will be there to carry them through. As Larry would say I Love You Lots, Always & Forever
