STARKEY, Larry Wayne - Age 61, of Fenton, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 26 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Donald Neuville officiating. Burial immediately following at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Larry was born December 1, 1949 in Durand, the son of Ernest Alvin and Eloise Ione (Shaw) Starkey. He was a graduate of Grand Blanc High School. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Larry had resided in Fenton for the past 28 years. He had worked for Harroun Enterprise for 26 years. He was a life member of the Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. Surviving are: mother, Eloise Starkey of Fenton; brother, Albert and wife Charlene Starkey of Fenton; 3 sisters, Alice Parker of Fenton, Clara Bruce of Jackson and Ernestine Thompson of Fenton; several nieces and nephews.
