Larry D. Jackson

Jackson, Larry D.  - Age 64, of  Fenton, died August 21, 2023. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday August 26, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Committal service will be 11 AM Monday August 28 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held  4-8 PM Thursday August 24;  4-8 PM Friday August 25; and 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday. 

Larry was born October 23, 1958 in Flint the son of Hobart and Ella (Day) Jackson. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.  He married Carey Ann LaFerney on April 27, 1990; she preceded him in death January 3, 2023. 

He had worked for Century Tool and Fenton Farms Golf Club. He served as a Genesee County Special Sheriff. He was a member of the Fenton Eagles. Larry loved family get-togethers and spending time with family and friends. He was always "living the dream." 

Surviving are his children, Veronica (Derrick) Julite, Katie Jackson, Allyson (Tom) Benner, Andrew (Torri) Jackson; grandchildren, Carter, Ava, Kennedy, Theo, Maeve, Rowan, Eddie, Alaina, Brayden; siblings, Wendell (Diane) Jackson, Gary (Anita) Jackson, Kandi Day; several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carey Ann Jackson; brother, Thomas Jackson; nephew, Austin Jackson; and best friend, Ken.
