Larry Hilsabeck

HILSABECK, Larry Wayne, age 61, of Flushing, passed away, Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at his home. In accordance with Larry's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 4 PM, Thursday August 22, 2019, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Carol Blair Bouse will officiate. Larry will be interred privately at Flushing City Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Larry was born on September 6, 1957, in Heidelberg, Germany, at the U.S. Army Hospital, to Orley B. and Rosemary J. (Bradt) Hilsabeck. He graduated from Flushing High School, class of 1975. While in High School he played on the first Flushing hockey team.  He was an avid hockey player. Larry worked for General Motors for many years before his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his bicycle and riding his Harley.

He is survived by his parents, Orley and Rosemary Hilsabeck; two siblings, Cathy (Paul) Alban and Dale Hilsabeck; seven nieces and nephews; and many cousins and relatives.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Bradt and Orley P. and Alice Hilsabeck.
