Larry Cheney, Sr.

Cheney, Larry Allen Sr. - Age 76, of Burton, died April 29, 2020. A graveside service will be held 2 PM Friday, May 1 at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Larry was born February 3, 1944 in Burton, the son of Nelson O. and Mary Alice (McGraw) Cheney. He married Jean (Sohmer) Fairchild in 1997 in Burton. Larry enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with his family especially on their annual tubing trip. He is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Rick Wilson of Lennon, Lori (David) Delongchamp of Flint Township, Wendy Cheney of Auburn Hills, Tracy (Michael) Kalleres of Camden, SC., Larry Allen (Melanie) Cheney Jr. of Davison, Andrea (Matt) Balyeat of Flint Township, Patrick Fairchild of California; 9 grandchildren, Lauren Cheney, Benjamin Boone, Cameron Delongchamp, Sara Ward, Amanda Dagneau, Matt Wilson, Kaitlyn Cheney, Lucas Cheney, Henrick Balyeat; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, William (Sena) Cheney, Sally (Ed) Pickett, Judy Harris, Janice Hunt; several nieces and nephews; Larry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Nancy Ackerman, Linda Salyer, Thomas Cheney, Georgia Meyerhofer.
