BROWN, Larry E. - age 52, of Flushing, died Sunday, July 30, 2006 at his residence after a long courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Scott Sutherland officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Larry E. Brown Memorial Fund. Larry was born October 11, 1953. He retired from the Genesee County Sherriff Department in 1997 as a Genesee County Road Patrol Officer. After retirement he worked with Rowe Engineering as an inspector and code enforcement officer and he worked part time for the Flushing Police Department. Larry was a past president of the Fraternal Order of the Police. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. Larry was a caring, loving, giving man who had many friends that loved and adored him. Surviving are: wife, Linda Cheadle of Flushing; daughter, Jayna Rhoads; son, Larry Brown; two step-sons, Adam and Spencer Walker; five grandchildren; mother, Hazel Brown; two brothers, Al (Kay) Brown of Grand Blanc, Ben (Connie) Brown of FL.
