Larry Bedgood

BEDGOOD, Larry Edward - Age 80, of Fenton formerly of Linden, died Thursday, September 16, 2021.  Larry's children will have a service for their father 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St. Linden (A live stream of the service will be available on Larry's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Pastor John Daniels officiating.  Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden.   Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday, September 20 at the funeral home.

Larry was born February 20, 1941, the son of Norville and Ruth Bedgood.  He was a graduate of Linden High School.  He married Mary Rita Howay Metivier December 28, 1997 in Highland.  He retired from General Motors after 31 1/2 years of service.  He was a member of The Rock Church.  Larry enjoyed deer hunting both with a gun and bow and riding his Gold Wing motorcycle.  He also enjoyed reading his Bible, and especially reading anything by A.W. Tozer.

Surviving are: his wife, Mary Rita; children, Scott Bedgood of Columbiaville, Steve Bedgood of Daggett, Shane (Stephanie) Bedgood of Fenton, Jim (LeAnne) Bedgood of Stephenson, and Susan (Jason) Povlich of Dexter; step children, Matthew (Crystal) Metivier of Grand Blanc and Rita (Mike) Tomaszewski of Howell; 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Debbie) Bedgood of Fenton; sister, Joyce Gray of Davison; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Vicki (Hogan) Bedgood; and brothers, Dave and Bruce Bedgood.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
