Lana was born on September 28, 1952, in Manistique, Michigan to the late Leonard & Lyle Multhaupt. She graduated from St. Agnes Catholic School in 1970. On September 28, 1974, Lana married Eddie, the love of her life. They were each other’s best friends and created their beautiful family with Michael and Matthew. Lana and Eddie never missed anything that their boys were involved in growing up. Lana’s pride and joy were her 3 grandsons. She was so proud to share her love of fishing with them and to go watch them play at any of their games.
Lana had a special bond with all 7 of her sisters and loved spending time with all her nieces and nephews. Family and friends were everything to Lana. Lana maintained her close friendships with her high school girlfriends Luci, Connie, Debbie, and Lori. They went on many girls’ weekend trips up north to Luci’s cabin and to many casinos. These ladies meet every Thursday night for their weekly zoom call. Anyone that knew Lana knows that she loved her Coke, chocolate and Better Made BBQ Chips. She was a thoughtful person that would give of her heart to anyone that needed. Years ago, she started gifting “Abby’s Angels” to those struggling with health issues. Over the years she had gifted over 700 angels.
Lana leaves behind her two sons, Michael (Teresa) Miller and Matthew Miller; three grandsons, Maxwell, Michael and Murphy Miller; three sisters, Loretta (Gary) Kralik, Lorna (John) Tomczak and Lenette (Eddie) Tomak and brothers-in-law, Thomas Miller and John Kennedy, Tony Kleiber, and Carl McLain; sister-in-law, Sandy (Dennis) Kiegel; several special nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie; four sisters, Lynn Jackson, Leslie "Buffie" Multhaupt, Lisa McLain and LeeAnne Klieber; and niece, Heather Williamson.
