Kurt Friedrich

FRIEDRICH, Kurt H- Age 85, of Flint, died February 7, 2017. A celebration of life service will be held 2 PM Saturday February 11, at Elms Road Church of God, 2393 Elms Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor David Goertzen officiating. Burial in Bendle Cemetery, Flushing. Visitation will take place 5-7 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Kurt was born February 2, 1932 in Germany, the son of Karl and Emma (Schinske) Friedrich. He married Edelgard Buksch in Flint on September 5, 1959. Kurt was a very handy man and worked in construction. He was a member of the Elms Road Church of God where he was a Sunday School teacher. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edelgard; children, Esther (Mike) Baird, Anni (Scott) Barbour, and Erwin Friedrich (Melissa Cowen; grandchildren, Hannah, Stephen, Kaleb, and Debra Joy; sister, Irmgard (Franz) Froeschke; sister-in-law, Irmgard Friedrich; nephews, Harry, Norbert, and Ron.
