Kurt Essenburg

ESSENBURG, Kurt Alan - 62, of Linden, died Thursday, January 21, 2016. Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Chuck Hubbert officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Daven Pierson Educational Fund. Kurt was born October 29, 1953 in Holland, MI, the son of Glenn and Patricia (Wright) Essenburg. He was a 1972 graduate of Fenton High School. He married LeeAnn Thomas June 18, 2005 in Fenton. He had resided in the Fenton area most of his life. Kurt was employed as an auto mechanic by Diamond Brake and Front End in Brighton. He enjoyed horses, motorcycles, being outdoors, and most of all spending time with his family. Surviving are: his wife, LeeAnn; step daughter, Kristen Pierson of Linden; grandson, Daven Pierson; siblings, Linda (Bob) Boyd of California, Rick (Karen) Essenburg of Brighton, Loren (Pam) Essenburg of Byron Center, Julie (Tim) Vruggink of DeWitt, and Becky (Dave) Nordquist of Cedar Springs; mother-in-law, Audrey Thomas of Fenton; brothers-in-law, Jeffrey (Karen) Thomas of Fenton and Walter Thomas of Fenton; sister-in-law, Elaine Pollard of Fenton; and several nieces and nephews.
