Kevin Keith ALANDER

ALANDER, Kevin Keith, age 40, of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Fr. Paul Schwermer officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be Saturday 4-8PM and Sunday 1-8PM at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Kevin was born March 18, 1971 in Flint the son of Keith and Kathleen (Barrett) Alander. He was a graduate of Southwestern High School where he was active in athletics, especially hockey. Kevin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and later earned his Associates Degree in Nutrition from Mott Community College. He was employed by the U.S. Post Office until his retirement. He was a loving father who adored his children, and will be missed dearly. Surviving are his 3 children, Travis, Madison and Haley Alander of Durand; parents, Keith and Kathleen Alander of Flint; sister, Heather Alander of Swartz Creek; nephew, Tyler Denzer; his loyal English Bulldog, Hillbilly; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
