Kerry Petrella

PETRELLA, Kerry Owen- Age 76, of Fenton, died June 28, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday July 1 at the Lake Fenton United Methodist Church, 2581 N. Long Lake Road, Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday June 30 at the Lake Fenton United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one's choice. Kerry was born January 13, 1938 in Enterprise, KY the son of Tony and Bessie (Lewis) Petrella. He married Patricia Peckens on September 17, 1966 in Howell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed gardening, camping in Kentucky, Euchre, UofM football and most of all family. Kerry was a member of the Lake Fenton United Methodist Church, and the American Legion. He was active with Lake Fenton Little League and Boy Scout troop 219. Kerry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia; children, Angelia (Dennis) Wood, Stacey (Nick) Carter, Kevin (Debra) Petrella; grandchildren, Katie Wood, Samantha Carter, Jacob Wood, Jared Carter, Trent Carter, Owen Petrella, Grant Petrella, Charlotte Petrella; siblings, Mary Frances Lauer, Wilhemina DeMaio, Elizabeth (Gardner) Petrella, Joe Petrella, Clyde (Liz) Petrella, Yolanda Kaye (Don) Hitko; brother-in-law, Harold Evangelista. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Allison Carter; siblings, Lorraine Evangelista, Carmen Petrella, Harmen (Dessie) Petrella, Noah (Marie) Petrella, David Petrella.
