Kenneth R. TRIMMER

TRIMMER, Kenneth R. - Our Country is mourning, for a Sailor died today... Ken passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at his residence. He was born December 4, 1925 in Fenton, the son of Cecil and Rosetta (Shivilie) Trimmer. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Francis, Louis and Lyle. He is survived by his wife, Regina; children, Sarah (Paul) Dolza, Thomas (Nancy) Trimmer, Cindy Stout; grandchildren, Derek, Jessie, Emma and Anna Stout, Letha and Regina Dolza; brothers, Bruce and Ron Trimmer. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII. Ken was an active member of the Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. He was also a member of Fenton Eagles, American Legion and F&AM Fenton Lodge. Mr. Trimmer was employed by the State of Michigan Department of Transportation, retiring in 1988 with 30 years of service. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Rev. Josh Hoover will officiate. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Friday, with a V.F.W. Memorial service at 7 PM. Following services, Ken's body will be donated to the University of Michigan Medical School.
