THOMSON, Kenneth Metcalf - Age 77, of Flint Township, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 29, 2012 at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Pastor Dwight Wymer officiating. Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek handling arrangements. Mr. Thomson was born September 1, 1934 in Toledo, OH, the son of Stanley Metcalf and Margaret Smith (Adam) Thomson. Ken married Carla J. Davis October 17, 1959 in Flint. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Thomson retired from G.M. Chevrolet V-8 Engine after 35 years of service. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and a member of the Charles A. Durand Lodge #533 F.&A.M. He also was a member of the Grand Blanc Lions Club, Am Vets at Higgins Lake and the American Legion and Michigan Club in Gulf Shores, AL. Surviving are: wife, Carla; 3 children, Bruce and wife Denise Thomson, Beth and husband Mark Munsell and Brenda and husband Ernie Moulton all of Swartz Creek; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Marshall, Gina (Randy) Kraft, Margaret Thomson (Ben Cummings), Heather (Collin) Curtis and Max Moulton; 1 great granddaughter, Hunter Curtis; sisters, Dorothy Munding and Iris (George) Kish; several nieces and nephews.
