Kenneth Everett SMITH

SMITH, Kenneth Everett - Age 89. of St. Helen formerly of Flint, passed away, January 27, 2012. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Smith was born August 19, 1922 in Flint the son of Everett Fredrick and Doris Frances (Spencer) Smith. He was a graduate of Flint Central High School. He was a veteran of WWII serving as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. Mr. Smith married Gertrude Mary Eddy September 25, 1942 in Flint and she preceded him in death November 29, 2005. He retired from General Motors. He had resided in St. Helen since 1985 coming from Flint. Surviving are: daughter, Diane Svitak and husband Daniel of Norfolk, NE; 3 grandchildren, Traci Puls and husband Russel, 3 great grandsons, Dylan, Evan and Jared of Hoskins, NE; Jerry Otradovsky and wife Tracy and 1 great grandson of Concord, CA; Jenifer Wooden of Lincoln, NE; 3 grandchildren of Independence, KY, Sara, Jake and Hannah Smith; sister-in-law, Barb Rachor of Grand Blanc; brother-in-law, Ken Roddy and wife Sharon of Indian River; 1 brother and 2 sisters; several nieces and nephew and great nieces and nephews; He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 sons.
