Kenneth C. SANDERS

SANDERS, Kenneth Charles, age 69, of Swartz Creek passed away Thursday March 15, 2012 at Genesys Hospice of Goodrich. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 19, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Hal Polk officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to one's choice or to Genesys Hospice of Goodrich. Mr. Sanders was born December 18, 1942 in Flint, the son of the late James N. Sanders and Juanita A. (Kitchen) Sanburn. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing with his brother and loved vacationing in Florida. Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Army, he was an active Member of the U.A.W. Local 599 and a member of the Swartz Creek Jaycees. He retired from Buick Motor Division as an electrician with 32 years of service. Surviving are; son, Anthony "Tony" (Kim) Sanders of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Nicole and Matthew; brother, Jerry (Phyliss) Sanders of Cheboygan; step-sister, Ann Grab of AZ; brother-in-law, Bob (Peggy) Koegler of MN; loving companion, Betty Andrews; many nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles of MO. Kenneth was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Teresa Sanders; step-father, Elton Sanburn; father- and mother-in-law, Roy and Ruthmary Koegler; step-brother, Larry Sanburn; and nephews, Christian and Jonathan Grab.
