Kenneth W. Reno

RENO, Kenneth W. - Age 81, of Flint, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Mr. Reno was born May 7, 1926 in Flint the son of Louis and Ada (Mosher) Reno. He married Elaine Roe on February 7, 1948 in Flint. He was a graduate of Flint Tech High School and the University of Wisconsin. He was Vice President at Michigan National Bank, retiring in 1987 after 27 years. Mr. Reno was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. He was a Past Member of the American Institute of Banking, Flint Elks Club and Flint Optimist Club. He was also Treasurer for Timbertown of Saginaw and Citizens District Council for Central Business District of Saginaw. Mr. Reno enjoyed golf, woodworking and painting. Surviving are his wife, Elaine Reno of Flint; 2 sons, Gregory and wife Connie Reno of Flushing, Bradley and wife Bonnie Reno of Corunna; 4 grandchildren, Michael and wife Sara Reno, Michelle Reno, Heather Reno, Steven and wife Daryl Reno; brother, Ronald and wife Joan Reno of Grand Blanc; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Denver, Eldon and Jackie; 3 sisters, Ione, Dorothy and Ruth.
