Kenneth Petee

Kenneth Robert Petee, age 78, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Hurley Medical Center. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church located at 2051 Maple Avenue, Flint. Prior to the service, visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. A graveside service will take place at Bendle Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 23, 2023.

He was born on March 2, 1945 in Bay City to the late Arthur and Doris (Ulman) Petee. Ken was a devoted member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church and served as an elder for several years. He dedicated 35 years of his career to Buick as a member of UAW Local 599. Ken was also known for being a passionate leader in the Swartz Creek area's 4-H community.

In his free time, Ken enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to visit all 50 states. He also had a passion for gardening and photography. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his three beloved grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Bonnie; sons Mark and Carl (Sara); grandchildren Jack Ryan, Joshua, and Susanna; special niece Sandee; siblings Arthur, Thomas, Gail, Margo and John; father-in-law Emerson; and sister-in-law Luann.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ken's honor to the Lamb of God Lutheran Church Pavilion Fund or the Elizabeth Weiser Caswell Diabetes Institute c/o University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
