Kennedy, Kenneth George - Age 80, of Highland, formerly of Lapeer, died May 23, 2022. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday May 27 at St. John Catholic church, 2099 N. Hacker Rd., Howell. Interment in St. John Cemetery, Howell. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday May 26 with a Rosary at 7 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will also be 10-11 AM Friday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Kenneth was born March 23, 1942 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He married Annette Lucy Janisse on January 25, 1964 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Windsor; she preceded him in death February 18, 2022. He worked as a Research Scientist for the General Motors Tech Center in Warren with many years of service before retirement. He also owned and operated K and K Alarm for 35 years. He was active with his church, Immaculate Conception in Lapeer, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time on their property at their home in Lapeer and fishing with the grandkids at the cottage Up North. Many of the grandkids lovingly called him Bebop.
Surviving are: three children, Daniel (Anne) Kennedy of Red Lion, PA, David (Julianne) Kennedy of Brighton, Deborah-Lynn (Paul) Anderson of Linden; ten grandchildren: Calvin (Heather), Kathleen, Patrick, Peter, Andrew, Julia Rose, Kaleb, Madison, Coleton and Samuel; three great grandbabies: Joshua, Oliver , and Cameron; siblings, Nancy (Wayne) Richardson, Madonna (Robert) Caille, Terry Kennedy, all of Ontario, Canada; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Worthy and Leona Caille; and his wife Annette.
