KANASKI, Kenneth Michael - Age 51, of Fenton, died May 5, 2015. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton Fr. Jim Rolph celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to Carriage Town Ministries or The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Ken was born July 16, 1963 in Traverse City, the son of Ronald and Ruth Ann (Hall) Kanaski. He was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Traverse City, Albion College and earned an MBA in Finance from Michigan State University. Ken was an avid reader, fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed cooking, sailing, hunting, playing cards, spending time at Canada Creek and exploring in Northern Michigan. Ken had been employed by General Motors for the past 25 years, known for his remarkable work ethic, he was always kind, fair and willing to help anyone in need. He was an amazing and supportive father, adoring husband and had a sense of humor that was second to none. A man of great faith; he saw God in everything. Ken loved life, had a lot left to do and will be missed beyond measure. He is survived by his wife, Aurora; children, Miguel, Ronnie and Sara; parents, Ronald and Ruth Kanaski; siblings, Cindy Kanaski, Sandy and husband John Murphy, Frank Kanaski; nephew, Trenton Fleming; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chet and Eva Kanaski, Clara Kanaski, Louise and Robert Hall; uncle, Kenneth Kanaski.
