Kenneth J. CRANE

CRANE, Kenneth J. - 85, of St. Joseph, MI, formerly of Flint died Saturday, October 30, 2010. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sophia's Cure Foundation in honor of Benjamin Grindle (www.bensjourney.webs.com). Kenneth was born January 2, 1925 in Providence, RI, the son of John and Marion Crane. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. Kenneth worked at General Motors for 30 years and at First of Michigan and Oppenheimer for 15 years. He was a church elder at the Community Presbyterian Church of Flint. Surviving are: wife, Barbara; three children, Cathy Myers, Kenneth E. Crane and David Crane; step-son, Don Richardson; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Pierson and Conrad Crane; first wife, Martha Crane; daughter, Cheryl Crane Allen.
