Kenneth Keller BEAVERS

BEAVERS, Kenneth Keller, age 68, of Flint, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Funeral Services will be 11:00am Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Fenton Road Baptist Church, G-4386 Fenton Rd., Flint. Pastor Michael Stallard officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. The family will receive friends 10:00am Saturday until time of service at the church. Visitation will be Friday 11:00a.m.-3:00 p.m. and 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Contributions may be made to Carriage Town Missions. Kenneth was born October 30, 1943 in Detroit the son of the late Clyde and Thelma (Owens) Beavers. He married Judy Ecker on April 10, 1966 in Ft. Pierce, Florida. He was employed by Castles Bros. General Contractors for 15 years, retiring in 1990. Kenneth was a member of Fenton Road Baptist Church for 50 years, where he served as Music Minister, Youth Director and Sunday School Superintendent. Kenneth was the founder and member of Joy Road Gospel Band which toured throughout Michigan and Ohio performing concerts and church services. In his free time, Kenneth was an avid fisherman and also loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Judy; two daughters, Heather Sargent of Roseville, Ruth Beavers (Rodney) of Burton; grandchildren, Hannah, Joshua, Domink, Ryan, Ethan and Kearsten; foster daughter, Rose Crow; sister, Martha Brown and many loving nephews and nieces.
