KOCH, Keith Collett, age 83, of Fenton Michigan, passed away on May 30, 2024. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday from 11:15AM until the time of the service. Keith was born on December 26, 1940 to Melvin L. Koch and Florence L. (Collett) Koch in Wheeling, WV and grew up in Wellsburg, WV. At the age of ten he moved to Livonia, MI. He graduated in 1959 from Livonia Clarenceville High School and he received an Associate's Degree from DeVry Technical Institute. After graduation, he started his career as a TV repairman, but later became an electrician, which was the profession he retired from in 2002.
He met the love of his life, Sheila Jean Hutton and they were married while he was on Christmas break from school on December 23, 1961. With deep commitment and love for one another, they started their journey in Chicago, IL while he completed his education and shortly thereafter moved to Livonia where they created a loving family that was the focus of their lives. They raised three children, Keith (Ebony) Koch, Renee (Jim) Kraft and Robert (Jennifer) Koch. Keith was a loving and active father, coaching and attending sporting events, leading boy scouts and the St. Paul Youth Ministry. He was a member of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Linden; and was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Farmington. He also was a member of IBEW Local #58 and the Howell Elks Lodge #2168.
Keith was also survived by ten grandchildren: Britney (Victor) Galarza, Ally (Joe) Shamus, Brenden (Sarah) Koch, Nicole (Matt) Dery, Christopher, Amanda, Nollan, Nathan and Finn Koch and Bradley Dow. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Elliette Galarza, Eli and Zeke Shamus, Liam and Lily Koch. Also, by many other beloved family and friends.
