Kay W. Lewis

LEWIS,  Kay W., age 63 formerly of Flint, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at her home in Sanford, MI.  Kay was born in Flint on May 31, 1943 the daughter of Wendall and Marion (Stoutenburgh) Kille.  She had lived in the Flint area all her life, moving to Sanford in 2002.  She and Lester L. Lewis were married in Flint on July 7, 1962. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1991.  Kay was employed by Hallmark Cards as a merchandiser at the Wal-Mart store in Midland. Surviving are her three children:  Daniel (Barb) Lewis of Carol Stream, IL, Diane (Jeff) Menz of Sanford and Debbie (John) Cooper of Grand Blanc. There are five grandchildren;  Michael, Kyle,  and Justin Cooper and Sarah and Zachary Menz. Further survivors are two sisters;  Mary Ellen Walwrath of Florida, Carol Stephenson of North Carolina along with many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp., Pastor Chris Tenneriello of Bethany Baptist Church will officiate and burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 8 P.M.Thursday and Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to service time.  Memorial contributions in Kay's name may be offered to the Mid-Michigan Visiting Nurses Association-Hospice.  Online condolences or tributes may be posted for the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
