Kathleen M. Michael

MICHAEL, Kathleen M.  Age 79, of Durand, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will be at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Thursday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family. Mrs. Michael was born September 29, 1923 in Davison, the daughter of Raymond F. and Glenedyne (Richards) Peabody. She married Carl E. Michael on October 21, 1944 in Flint and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1976. Mrs. Michael has resided in Durand since 1979. She was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy WAVES. Mrs. Michael was a former member of Riverdale Baptist Church in Flint and had attended Vernon United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Buick Post #310 and enjoyed painting, working in her yard and spending time at the cabin on Higgins Lake. Surviving are: daughter, Carolyn K. (William) Cromwell of Durand; son, Carl D. (Debra) Michael of Davison; 10 grandchildren, Danette Michael of CA, DeeAnn (Christopher) Allen, David Michael, Delanie Michael, all of Davison, Julie (Jason) Parish, Jenny (Matthew) Carr, all of Durand, Jean Cromwell of Swartz Creek, Carolynn Cromwell of Clio, William T. Cromwell of VA, Trisha Peake of Perry; two great-granddaughters, Brittany and Allyssa Nehls, both of Swartz Creek; great-grandson, Thomas Capeletti of Clio; sister, Joan R. Thomas and husband, Stanley of Ionia; brother, Richard Peabody and wife, Melanie of Harbor Springs; special friend, Mary Green of Lennon. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; infant daughter, Sharon Rae Michael; grandson, Christopher Michael Peake.
