MCDOWELL, Kathleen Ann - age 73, of Fenton, died June 12, 2020. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, June 19, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Kathleen was born June 2, 1947 in Bad Axe, MI, the daughter of Florian "Abe" and Flora (Slavin) Jankowski. She was a graduate of the Hurley School of Nursing and retired from Genesys Health System as a Registered Nurse after 30 years of service. Kathleen's life was all about Faith, Family and Fun. She loved spending time with family, baseball, crocheting and playing cards. Surviving are: three children, Andrew (Michelle) McDowell of Laingsburg, Thomas McDowell of Fenton, Sarah (Stephen) Salerno of Northville; 11 grandchildren, Andrew Eastman, Katlyn (Joe) Clark, Nicolle (Collin) Harrell, Connor (Cassie) McDowell, Liam McDowell, Hannah-Marie McDowell, Tabitha McDowell, Quinn McDowell, Keira McDowell, Anthony Salerno, and Marcus Salerno; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy Pieczynski of Linden, Ileen (Howard) Holsinger of Fenton, Janet (Al) Crittendon of Fenton, Joann Sloan of Linden, Linda (Michael) Garfield of Portage, Michael Jankowski of Fenton and many nieces and nephews.
