JACQUES, Kathleen Dee "Kathy" - Age 55, of Gaines formerly of Flushing, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at home. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday August 1, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the National Kidney Foundation. Kathy was born March 7, 1954 in Trenton MI, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Alice M.C. (Arney) Straub. Kathy enjoyed cross stitching, gardening, horses and dogs. She was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, worked for G.M. SPO in the cafeteria for many years, and owned and operated K and T Ice Cream Parlor, Gaines with her husband Ted, who she married September 16, 1987 in Lincoln Park. Surviving are: Husband, Theodore "Ted" of Gaines; Daughters, April Jacques of Gaines and Michelle (Doug) Kohlhorst of TN; Grandchildren, Derrick, Samatha and Amelia; Brother, Michael (Flora) Straub of Clare; sister, Vicki (Julian) Hiladysh of Dearborn and Nieces, Andrea and Laquita.
