FITCH, Kathleen L. - Age 61, of Gaines, died Saturday, October 29, 2005 after a long, courageous battle with cancer with her family at her bedside at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at St. Robert Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing with Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 6-9 PM Sunday and Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, with a Scripture service at 7 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society (for Ovarian Cancer Research.) Kathleen was born October 16, 1944 in Detroit the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Marshall) Brandtner. She was married to William Curtis Fitch on February 1, 1964 in Roseville; he preceded her in death on September 19, 2005. Mrs. Fitch was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church and the Sweet Adelines (Thumb Area.) Surviving are: five children, Colleen and husband John Wracan of Vernon, Lori and husband David Gatica of Mt. Morris, Denise and husband Jim Robinson of Flushing, Curtis Fitch and wife Melissa and future grandchild, of Swartz Creek, Kyle Fitch of Gaines; 13 grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Margaret, Ryan, Chelsea, Valerie, David, Joshua, Anthony, Samantha, Kathleen, Vanessa, and Cassandra; father Harold Brandtner of Flushing; sister, Cindy and husband Tom Jenkins of Tennessee.
