Kathleen Cmejrek

CMEJREK, Kathleen Ann - age 72, of Flushing, our beautiful wife and mother, our confidante, our patient and loving mentor went peacefully from this world on August 9, 2017 at her residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, August 14, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St. Fenton with Rev. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be held 12-3 and 5-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a rosary will be prayed 7 PM Sunday evening. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of mass at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Powers Catholic High School. Kathleen was born May 30, 1945 in Laurium, MI, the daughter of Kenneth and Dolly (Williams) Clifton. She was a graduate of Flint Southwestern and retired as an assistant manager with MRI Diagnostics. Kathleen taught her family to love, to forgive, to make people laugh, and to live life full of grace and patience. Those who knew her could not help but feel the love she radiated to her family and friends. Surviving are: husband, Carl Cmejrek of Flushing; three children, Christine (Marc) Zamec of Chicago, Ryan (Monique) Cmejrek of Chicago, and Jon-Paul Cmejrek of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Olivia, Malcolm and Audrey Cmejrek, Margaux Zamec, Scarlett and Simone Cmejrek; two sisters, Connie (Calvin) Starlin of Ypsilanti and Judi Staley of Milan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Christine and Charley Cmejrek. May God hold her lovingly in His arms.
