Boyce, Kathleen A. - Age 92, of Linden, died August 25, 2021. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 30, 2021 at Argentine Church of the Nazarene, 16248 S. Seymour Road, Linden. Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday, August 29 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad Street, Linden; and 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Argentine Church of the Nazarene.
Kathleen was born May 6, 1929 in Owosso the daughter of Harold C. and Ruby E. (Ordiway) Hartman. She graduated from Gaines High School in 1949. She married Melvin Dale Boyce on May 28, 1949 in Argentine and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2018. Kathleen worked in the nursery at St. Joe's Hospital and then as a pre-school teacher at Happy Elephant Day Care Center. She was a member of Argentine Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed babysitting grandchildren, collecting bells and dolls, crafts, handwork, and cooking.
She is survived by five children, Deborah (Richard) Carlile of Titusville, FL, Steven (Beth) Boyce of Geneva, IL, Dave (Jean) Boyce of Lockport, IL, Dalynn (Steven) Murphy of Fenton, Mark (Lorrie) Boyce of Linden; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers Larry Zimmerman and Earl Zimmerman; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Vernon F. Hartman and Bruce Ordiway; sisters, Mary Barker, Janet Wolford and Fern Veselsky; one great-grandchild, James Zells. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
