Katherine Dybata

DYBATA, Katherine - age 95, of Howell, passed away on August 3, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be held Celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday August 9, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Road, Howell, MI. Interment in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be held 2:00 - 8:00 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden, and 10:00 AM Tuesday until the time of Mass at the church. Contributions can be made to the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery Fund.

Katherine was born September 13, 1926 in Poland, the daughter of George and Stella (Chrzacz) Malcharek. She married John E. Dybata on October 12, 1949 in Detroit. Together along with their son, John owned and operated the Dybata Farms in Howell since 1955. Katherine was a long time member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church. She enjoyed wintering in Okeechobee, Florida. She was very devoted to her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who called her 'Tiny Grandma".

Katherine is survived by her daughter-in-law, Donna Dybata; grandchildren, Christine Dybata, Laurie Dybata, Amy (Tom) Welch, Jennifer Dybata and Sarah Dybata; two great grandchildren, Mason and Emily Welch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Dybata; sons, Vincent J. Dybata and John G. Dybata; parents, George and Stella Malcharek.
