Karl was born March 28, 1946 in Lhota, Czechoslovakia.  He immigrated to the US in 1969. Karl married Joyce Vincent on June 18, 2019. He enjoyed reading about history and international politics. He knew the importance of the lessons that history teaches us. Karl was self-taught and built five beautiful houses over the years. He loved animals and took in many strays. Karl retired after 30 years as a die maker from General Motors Delphi Flint. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Roman Soukal; sister, Marie (Jiri) Kubicek of Romeo; brother, Jiri Soukal of Austria; many nieces and nephews. Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Adolf and Marie Soukal; wife of 37 years, Vera Soukal who passed away July 2008. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page  of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
