EPPLER, Karen A. (Opalko)- Age 54, of Linden, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Huron Valley Hospital. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, March 10, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial in Milford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A rosary will be prayed 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute or Katie's Spa for those who need help in the purchase of prosthetics. Karen was born January 17, 1954 in Wayne County, the daughter of John and Florence (Frakowski) Opalko and was a graduate of Milford High School. She had been employed by Kelsey-Hayes and Linden Community Schools. Karen had lived in Linden the past 15 years and  was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Surviving are: husband, James; son, Kyle John of Linden; father, John Opalko of Milford; brother, Michael and wife Joyce Opalko of Milford; nephews and niece, Nathan and wife Crystal Opalko, Jacob and Sarah Opalko; dearest friends, Judy Frankfurth, Leslie Lane, Cindy Nowiki, Paula McAllister, Jan Spence and everyone whose life she touched.
