BANACKI, Karen Diane (Crabtree)  of Swartz Creek, age 65, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Genesys Health Park.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM. Saturday, May 28, 2005 at St. Mary Queen  of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek.  Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant.  Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris.  Karen will lie in state from 3 to 8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a Prayer Service will be held 7PM Friday.  She was born May 17, 1940 to Thomas and Mildred (Watts) Crabtree.  She lived in Flint, attending Dort Elementary, Emerson Junior and Northern High School, moving to the Swartz Creek area in 1972.  Karen graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1958, a member of the National Honor Society, then attended Flint Junior College before marrying Frank John Banacki August 20, 1960.  She was employed through high school at Kilbourn Drug Store, then later at Consumers Power Company.  Then much later when her daughters were grown, she was employed at Swartz Creek Community Schools for 12 years, most of which was spent at the High School where she enjoyed the camaraderie of students and faculty.  She retired in 2001.  She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.  Surviving are:  Husband Frank; four daughters, Babette and Paul Snider of Clarkston, Alison and Richard Sagamang of Mt. Morris, Francie Nault of Flint, Amy Banacki of Flint; five grandchildren, Jessica and Jason McClelland, Shannon Sagamang, Colleen Nault, William and Sara Snider; brother William Richard (Wanda) Crabtree of Davison; many cousins, nieces and nephews; special giggle partner Cathy; special friends Shirley and Diane.  Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters Dixie Sue Kalanquin, Shirley Peck; special brother in law Van W.
