June Rigg-Fairhurst

RIGG-FAIRHURST, June - Age 92, passed away June 23, 2024. A memorial service will be held 4 PM Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Linden United Methodist Church, 201 S. Bridge St., Linden. The family will receive friends from 3PM until the time of service. June was born June 23, 1932 in Detroit, the daughter of Bernard and Ellen (Ronan) McGivney. She owned and operated the Old Hickory Bar from 1974-1988. She then went back to school to become a respiratory therapist, which she did for many years before her retirement. June loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and dieting (although she never needed to diet). She was a member of the Linden Historical Society and volunteered at Loose Senior Center. She is survived by her daughters, Cyndi Hilliker, Leslie (David) Ewing and Suzi (Scott) Penoyer; grandchildren, Shon (Amanda) McGoron, Tye (Donali) Hilliker, Kelly (Eric) Calhoun, Mikayla (Charles) McGoron, Chad (Rachel) Ewing, David (Maria) Crandall, Jeff (Dayian) Ewing, Steven Grigsby, Tara (Dan) Stockmeyer and Ricky (Joslynn) Penoyer; 16 great grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren; two nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Rigg and her second husband, John Fairhurst. The family wishes to thank the staff of Absolute Hospice.
