MOYLE, June Arlene - age 97, of Linden, died June 23, 2021. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St. Linden, MI 48451. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 12 PM - 2 PM Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. June was born May 25, 1924 in Flint, the daughter of Clarence B. and Rhea Mae (Holmes) Shellito. She attended Flint Northern High School and met Stanley Moyle at Ma Patterson's dancing classes. June married Stan on November 21, 1942. Stan served in the Coast Guard for three years during World War II while she worked at Buick in the payroll department and also studied music and built a class of music students. After the war, Stan worked at Consumers Power Company, starting as a Meterman and working up to Marketing Supervisor. He was active in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Flint for many years and was vice-president of the Michigan JCC. He was also active in the Genesee Masonic Lodge. Stan died in 1971 at age 48. June studied piano from age 8, eventually going to New York to study. She performed for St. Cecilia Society, and with the Flint Symphony Orchestra. June was an organist and choir director for over 35 years, first at Asbury Methodist, then Trinity Methodist, Our Risen Lord Lutheran, all in Flint, and First Congregational Church in Grand Blanc. June taught piano for 50 plus years having as many as 40 - 50 students a week. She served as the organist for El Star Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star for many years, Eastern Star of Genesee County and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 175 Linden. June was proud to serve as President of Flint Northern High School Music Boosters Association and Grand Blanc High School Music Boosters Association. After the death of her husband, June went back into the business world working at Citizens Bank and then Pete Marsh Insurance Agency in Flint as an Administrative Assistant for 12 years, retiring in 1989. Besides music, June enjoyed walking, biking, painting, sewing, genealogy, and traveling. Surviving are: daughter-in-law, Margaret Moyle; grandchildren, Robert Moyle, Jonathan (Dawn) Moyle, Jennifer (James) Cullen, Kathryn Tungate, Kristin Snyder (Timothy Hutchison), and Kirby Snyder; great-grandchildren, Joy, James, Ben, Emma, Samantha, Tyler, Justin, and Kailey; cousins, Robert Dell and Jane Worthington. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Stanley; and three children, Larry Moyle, Janet Snyder and Robert Moyle. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
