June Moritz

MORITZ, June Elizabeth - Age 82, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday November 4, 2020. A graveside service will be held 1PM Saturday, November 14, at Mt. Rest Cemetery, 701 E. Steel Street, St. Johns, Michigan. Chaplain Don Bunker officiating. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel,  8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. June was born October 20, 1938 in St. Johns, Michigan, the daughter of Dewey and Beulah (Reist) Hardenburg. She married Donald Moritz in Flint on June 16, 1990. June retired from General Motors Buick Division's main office on Hamilton Street with 30 years of service. She enjoyed shopping, rescuing animals and had a heart of gold, always thinking of others.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Surviving are: husband of 30 years, Donald Moritz of Swartz Creek; many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Luann and Tammy. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marilyn. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Robin with Angels Touch who took care of June, seven days a week, and became more than a caregiver, but a friend. The family is also grateful to Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care, especially to Erin and Kim who went above and beyond to care for June.
