HOUGH, June Christianna  Age 74, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Brians House Hospice. Services will be held 6 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Bradley Lake officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family. Mrs. Hough was born February 9, 1930 in Shenandoah, VA, the daughter of Frederick G. and Beryl C. (Austin) Christel. She married Harvey Wilson Hough, Jr. on October 3, 1956 in Arlington, VA and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1995. Mrs. Hough was a member of the Smithsonian in Washington DC, National Trust Fund for Historical Preservation and the National Geographic Society. She enjoyed collecting Lennox and Hamilton plates, target practice with .22s, loved old movies and music, traveling and family. Mrs. Hough enjoyed her years in DC during the late 40s at the Lotus Club and Silver Fox, where she met many prominent people such as Richard Nixon. She was a wonderful wife, awesome mother and cool friend. Surviving are: three daughters, Janis Marie Meader, Judy Ann Hough and Joy Christianna Hough, all of Swartz Creek; adopted daughters, Janice Zawol, Tammy (Majdi) Al-Sahouri, Debbie Ward; adopted grandsons, Matthew Zawol, Johnathan Al-Sahouri, Zack Ward; cousins, who were like siblings, Jack and Emily Ring, Carl and Doris, Betty Jane and all of their families; friends, Steve D., Marsha and Jerry, Chris, Zeb and Connie, Bill and Carol, Rocky, Eric and the Scooters Bike Club; many more wonderful friends, neighbors and relatives.
