June Henke

HENKE, June Elizabeth -- Age 99, of Linden, died January 29, 2020.  Funeral services will be held  12 PM Monday February 3 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Pastor Richard Williams. Interment will be 2 PM Monday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Visitation will be 10AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

June was born June, 22, 1920 in Bismarck, ND the daughter of  John Edgar Ness and Elizabeth (Kuhn) Ness.  She married Wilbur Henke on July 4, 1943 in Michigan City, Indiana; he preceded her in death on February 11, 2016.  She was a graduate from Laport High School in Laport, IN in 1939.  She resided in Fenton since 1972.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Linda Henke of Fenton; grandson, Wendel "Carl" Henke Jr. of Fenton; granddaughter, Gretchen Renee Knowlton of Portage; 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Wendel; daughter in law, Donice in 1977; two sisters and one brother.
