June Rose HAYES

June Rose Hayes, 86, of Apex, NC died Thursday, February 27, 2014. Mrs. Hayes was born on March 9, 1927 in Caruthersville, MO. Mrs. Hayes was a resident of the Flint area and Linden since the age of nine, moving to Apex, NC in 2013 to be near her daughter. She married Robert Hayes on December 6, 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2003. Mrs. Hayes was a member of the American Business Women's Association, Loose Senior Citizens Group in Linden, and the Swingers Group in Fenton. She was a product demonstrator at many retail stores for 24 years before retiring in 1999. She is survived by her son: Michael D. Hayes of Linden, MI; daughter: Sherry DeLoach and husband, Vincent of Cary; grandchildren: Fallon, Matthew, David, and Rawson; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mollie Dunavan; son, Larry S. Hayes, and 2 brothers, George W. and Joe Dunavan, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Apex Funeral Home. Committal services will be 1 PM Saturday, March 8 at the chapel at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, MI., Rev. Don Neuville Officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, MI 48451.
