NEGLEY, Julie (Jewell) age 50, of Fenton, MI formerly of Ridgeley, West Virginia and Graham, North Carolina, passed away at home on Friday October 11, 2019, surrounded by her family. A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton. Reverend Richard Jewell officiating. Visitation will be 11 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family for a college fund for her sons Cameron and Hunter.
Julie was born on December 30, 1968 in Cumberland, Maryland the daughter of Harold and Patricia (Norton) Jewell. She graduated from Frankfort High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Campbell University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Julie also served in the U.S. Army for two years. She married Theodore John Negley, Jr. on May 22, 1999 in Graham, North Carolina. She taught in the Alamance Burlington school district for 10 years before becoming a stay at home Mom. Julie volunteered with kids in school and in athletics and she truly loved being a part of her kid’s activities. She was also a member of The Rock Church in Fenton.
Surviving are: husband, Ted; children, Cameron and Hunter, all of Fenton; brother, Rev. Richard (Karen) Jewell; sister, Patti (Denny) Corwell; nephews, Steven (Amanda) Jewell, Chad (Jennifer) Corwell, Chapin (Jenna) Jewell, and Shane (Melissa) Corwell, all of Ridgeley, West Virginia; many great nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
