BLACKBURN, Julia C.  Age 83, of Howell, died Sunday, August 3, 2003 at Glacier Hill Nursing Center. Funeral mass will be celebrated 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Fr. Peter Clark celebrant. Interment will be held in St. John Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Monday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Howell or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton. Mrs. Blackburn was born July 19, 1920 in Linden, the daughter of William and Mary (McGuire) Dooley. She was the Valedictorian of the 1937 graduating class of Linden High School. She married Clarence E. Blackburn at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on June 19, 1943. Mrs. Blackburn served as the Register of Deeds in Livingston County for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Howell. Surviving are: husband, Clarence if Howell; eight children, Timothy Blackburn, Matthew Blackburn, Katherine and husband, Ronald White, all of Howell, Mary and husband, Raymond Moraniec of East Lansing, Julia and husband, Thomas Palella of Lake Forest, IL, Anne and husband, Lee Victorian of Ann Arbor, Joseph Blackburn and wife, Angie of Portland, MI, John Blackburn and wife, Mary Alice of Howell; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, William Dooley and wife, Marge; sister, Mary and husband, Glen Bulemore, all of Fenton; sisters-in-law, Beryl Dooley of Fenton, Maxine and husband, Eugene Pasinski of Howell, Ella Mae Blackburn of Durand.
