Judy Kay Roberts Trebtoske, age 81, of Durand, Michigan passed away unexpectedly at her home on July 25, 2020.
Judy was born July 24, 1939 in Durand, to the late Melvin F. and Rhoda L. (Steele) Kirkman.
Judy projected utmost love and had a keen way of making those around her feel special and loved through all that she did. She loved her husband, her children, and her grandchildren, among many others, dearly. Judy took great pleasure in watching her grandchildren grow through the years and involved herself in their many endeavors. She also loved the beauty of nature and enjoyed watching the birds, the deer, or any other critter that happened to wander into her backyard. Judy spent many summers at Leisure Lake, soaking up the sun and socializing with friends, but also enjoyed family vacations to Aruba and Las Vegas. When she wasn’t spending time keeping her home immaculate and working part time for the family business, she could be found winning at the casino or playing Solitaire, Rummikub, Skip Bo, or various other card games with her family and friends.
Judy is survived her husband of 43 years, Tim Trebtoske; children, Shellie (Stanley) Bragg, Timothy (Natasha) Roberts, Jamie (Troy) Alchin; grandchildren, Kayla (Dan) Lindeman, Kelsey (Jim) Wiberley, Hunter, Walker, and Skyler Alchin, Emory and Ella Roberts; brothers, Larry (late Janet) Kirkman, Charles (Jane) Kirkman; several nieces, nephews and special friends including Bob and Brenda Vandemark and Greg and Terri Straughan.
Visitation for Judy will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday with a scripture service from 7-7:30 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, by a special friend Deacon Corrian. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday, July 30, 2020 with visitation from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 700 Columbia Dr., Durand. Fr. Bill Wegher celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Gaines.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made Paralyzed Veterans of America.
