Judith Vanhorn

VanHorn, Judith A. (Metcalf) -- Age 74, of St. Helen, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday. June 13 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Interment at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday. Judith was born March 17, 1940, the daughter of William Metcalf and Velma (Moore) Dailey of Flint. She married Jerry VanHorn Sr. on July 1, 1955 in Caro, Michigan. She graduated from Mott Community College in 1985 with a degree in nursing. She loved to cook, serve others and always volunteered to coordinate dinner parties. She was active in her church as well as various ladies groups. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Judith is survived by her loving husband, Jerry of 58 years; daughters, Judith (Stanley) Darga of Indiana, Kathy (Bradley) Ross of St. Helen, Debra Copper of Flint, Shari (Robert) Till of Tennessee; son, Jerry VanHorn Jr. of Flint; brothers, Paul (Irene) Metcalf, Martin (Velica) Dailey; sisters, Nancy Spencer, Evey (Edward) Skank, Jane (Ernest) Chesser, Vicky (John) Looney; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
